CEQ Outreach and Communications (O&C) Committee have produced an Outreach & Communications Plan for 2026/2027. This sets out a vision and aims for our outreach, and lists some of the ways Area Meeting and Local meetings can support this.
An important part of our strategy is Outreach Link Friends (OLFs) – people appointed by Local Meetings to provide a two-way channel of communication between the O&C Committee and Local Meetings. We recently sent a message to current OLFs (and clerks of meeting without one) with more details of how they can get involved, and support available. There is a WhatsApp group for OLFs and other Friends interested in Outreach to share ideas and encouragement, get in touch if you’d like to join: website@ceaqm.org.uk
One activity we’d like to encourage meetings to do, is to complete their own Outreach & Communication plan – a template is available and there is the potential for a facilitated discussion. Quaker Week begins on 25th September, ending on World Quaker Day on Sunday 4th October – making a simple plan could help your meeting prepare for this, and beyond.
