Three Acres And A Cow and is a small touring show about the history of land rights and protest in folk song and story. It covers topics like the enclosures, Swing Riots and the Luddites, the Glasgow rent strikes and the Kinder Scout mass trespasses, finishing up at the present day.
The show will be in Coventry on 11th Sept, 7pm at The Box, FarGo Village, CV1 5ED;
and Birmingham on 12th Sept, 7pm at South Aston United Reformed Church, B6 5BN.
This is not a Quaker event, but Friends from Cotteridge and Coventry have shared it. The team behind the show say:
“It is generally loved by people who are interested in social and environmental justice, local food production, access to land, social history, folk music – all that good stuff!”
