Role-holder Events & Training

Details of events and training for Quaker role-holders are now included in a dedicated page on our website and section of our email newsfeed, to make them easier to find.

The responsibility for running local and area Quaker meetings is held by Friends from within the community. In most cases Quaker role-holders give service (voluntarily) to the community to do the required work.

Our Local Development Worker offers Role Holder Development Sessions. These one-hour sessions are a space to ask questions, share experience and find solutions. For more information contact Hilary Topp: hilaryt@quaker.org.uk

Central England Quakers also run occasional training and discussion sessions for members and attenders within our area, on the practical aspects of keeping our meetings running safely and smoothly.

Woodbrooke also run regular online courses for Friends new to a Quaker role, or wanting to share ideas with other role holders (not listed here – please check the Woodbrooke website).

Are you finding it helpful to have different sections in our website and newsfeed for events coming up soon, those that need to be booked in advance, those for role-holders, and regular events that repeat each week or month? In addition, all events can be viewed and searched in a chronological list, or on a calendar. Any feedback on making this useful for Friends (and for outreach) welcome: website@ceaqm.org.uk
