Peace Hub Action Group

Note the change of dates over the summer, and join in!

Do you feel that action for peace and social justice is needed in our world, but are unsure where to begin? Or perhaps you are already taking action with Quakers or other groups, and would like to feel upheld.

However you are feeling the call to peace, the Peace Hub Action Group (formerly the Focus Group) is a supportive space to explore concerns arising, share mutual support, and inform the direction of our project Peace Hub’s work.

Join us once a month for an hour online – we generally meet on the fourth Wednesday of the month at 6pm, but please note these upcoming changes of date:

  • we will move our June meeting back one week to Weds 1st July (to avoid a clash with Area meeting),
  • and then meet on Weds 29th July (which is the fifth Weds of the month),
  • before arranging an in-person meet-up in August (details TBC).

Email office@peacehub.org.uk  or WhatsApp 07718937156 for the Zoom details, or to find out more.

Meanwhile, on Thurs 18th June you join our Refugee Week Film Night – an event that has developed in response to concerns arising in the Action Group.

Others ways to support Peace Hub

In March, Peace Hub launched an appeal to Local Meetings for financial support in 2026. We are very grateful to the Meetings that have already responded and hope that other Meetings are considering either a donation from funds or a special collection. We know that there are many calls on your Meeting finances, but a donation towards our salary cost, however small, will be really welcome this year.

Peace Hub have prepared an annual report for 2025 – look out for this in the papers for July Area Meeting which we hope will be of interest to Friends, and will serve to demonstrate the valuable work that the Peace Hub is undertaking for the Area Meeting.
