Several opportunities to connect with other Christian denominations in April and May 2026, at online events on Church of Sanctuary; Christian nationalism and the far right; Debt Justice; and Palestine & Israel.
Sanctuary Sunday and Church of Sanctuary
Tuesday 21st April 10-11.30am
In this online workshop Revd Dr Inderjit Bhogal will give an overview of the resources available to support local inter-church groups to promote and celebrate Sanctuary Sunday (liturgy, prayers, material for reflection and action).
There will be an opportunity to learn about the experience of becoming a Church of Sanctuary and the resources available to support this work to enable local ecumenical groups to support and encourage those churches in their membership who wish to make this commitment.
The Prophetic and The Flag
Thursday, Apr 23, 2026 from 7 pm to 8:30 pm
Join Racial Justice Advocacy Forum for ‘The Prophetic and the Flag’, where we explore far-right extremism and Christian nationalism and the Church response.
‘The Prophetic and the Flag’ webinar explores far-right extremism and Christian nationalism, and allows attendees to hear from a panel of academics, church leaders and Christian thinkers on their understanding of this phenomenon, and how best to respond to it. The webinar will take place on 23 April 2026, which is St George Day in England, from 7pm to 8.30pm. This conversation will follow on from last year’s conference, ‘Race, Religion, Rhetoric and Far-Right Extremism – A Response’, which took place on 8 February 2025 at Church House in London.

Life Before Debt
Thursday 23rd April 6.30
Join Christian Aid for a live broadcast of Life before Debt: in conversation with Precious Kalombwana.
Debt is pushing Zambian communities into poverty. Precious Kalombwana has been raising her voice for change, sometimes at her own risk. Come and hear her story, and her challenge.
Broadcasting live from St Johns’ Church Waterloo, Precious will be joined by Jennifer Larbie, Christian Aid’s UK Influencing Lead and author of Between Life and Debt with Director of Debt Justice, Heidi Chow chairing the conversation.
Together we’ll dig into the root causes of debt, explore how it is trapping millions of people in poverty, and how we can be part of changing the status quo. This event is held in collaboration with Action for Southern Africa (ACTSA), Cafod, Debt Justice and Just Love.
