Quaker Week will run from 27th September to Sunday 5th October 2025 (with World Quaker day falling on the final Sunday).
CEQ Area Meeting hope to produce a calendar of events for Quaker Week so please let the office know if you are planning anything. Resources to help with outreach are available on the Quakers in Britain website, and there are resources available to borrow from Area Meeting too.
The theme for World Quaker Day will be “Love Your Neighbour”, taking as the guiding scripture Galatians 5:14:
“For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’”
World Quaker Day is important to many different Quaker communities around the world and provides a time to learn about them and their traditions. A film about the 2024 Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC) plenary will be available on the FWCC website to support this. Friends can join a premiere of this film on Saturday 9th August at 4pm UK time.
