Time to give using the Area Meeting Contribution Schedule

Robert Morris (CEQ Area Meeting Treasurer) explains how you can give to Quaker work using the Contribution Schedule.

In Advices & Queries no. 20 we are encouraged to consider an appropriate financial contribution to the work of the Society. In Central England Area Meeting there is the opportunity to do this using the ‘Contribution Schedule’.  This involves giving to the Area Meeting and a variety of local Quaker projects using a single payment which can be distributed (with Gift Aid where applicable) according to the wishes of individual Friends.

As well as offering convenience to the donor, the schedule enables the many individual donations to be consolidated, so that the beneficiaries receive a single donation without the need to recover Gift Aid from separate individuals.

Many members and attenders already use this Contribution Schedule which is administered centrally, but if you don’t already do so, do think about it. Spare packs giving full details are available from the Clerk to Overseers or possibly the Treasurer in your local meeting. There will also be some spare copies at the Area Meeting Office at Bull Street.
