29/07/2017 - 05/08/2017, All Day
at University of Warwick, CoventryYearly Meeting is when Quakers in Britain come together to worship, make decisions and spend time as a community.
Yearly Meetings are also occasions in which we can learn, practise, improve, and take back to our local meetings ways of conducting business which are rooted in Quaker tradition and our own experience yet also meet contemporary challenges.
Yearly Meeting Gathering 2017 will be held from 29 July—5 August at the University of Warwick, on the outskirts of Coventry. We look forward to joining local Friends, to share our work and witness.
We will conclude our three-year consideration of ‘Living out our faith in the world’ by focusing on movement building – working with others to change the world. There will be opportunities to engage with this theme, both in and out of formal sessions. Each of us may plan our own mixture of learning, relaxation and fun from a huge range of activities. We will create a vibrant and joyful community across the whole event. Yearly Meeting Gathering is an amazing opportunity to worship together, to learn, discuss and share our experiences.
There are stimulating programmes specifically for young people as well as all-age actives.
