Heritage Open Days at Stourbridge

Quaker History

11/09/2021 - 12/09/2021, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

at Stourbridge Quaker Meeting House, Stourbridge

Stourbridge Meeting is open for Heritage Open Days 2021 on the weekend of Saturday 11 September, 10am to 4pm, and Sunday 12 September, 11.30am to 3.30pm.

All are warmly welcome to discover the Meeting House, built in 1689. This year’s HOD theme is ‘Edible England’, and brings the opportunity to see our nature friendly garden and a new apple tree, donated by Transition Stourbridge as part of their project to have a fruit tree in every Stourbridge garden. On the Saturday there is a sale of local garden produce, arts and crafts, and home made cakes.

Thirty fabric panels from the Loving Earth Project’s international collection will be on show at the Meeting House.  The hand-made panels by people from different countries express our love for the planet and its diverse creatures and our dismay at the threat from climate crisis and ecological destruction.  They form part of an exhibition to be mounted in Glasgow during the COP26 Conference.

There is on-street parking and easy links to Stourbridge Town by train and bus.
