at Cotteridge Quaker Meeting House, BirminghamA sobering wake-up call took place at Westminster’s Central Methodist Hall on 27 Nov 2025, the ‘first of its kind’ National Emergency Briefing. Mike Berners-Lee joined with nine climate scientists to present clear and concise explanations of the threats to our health, our food, our national security from our changing climate.
Experts in climate science, biodiversity, food, health, economics and national security gave clear, evidence-based warnings of the dire impacts of climate change. Risks to the UK economy, society and security are real and present We need deep, systemic changes in our energy sources, our food and agriculture to address both climate and the rapid decline in nature and biodiversity.
But these changes would bring substantial benefits for our health, wellbeing, economy and to natural environment!
In the “People’s Emergency Briefing” Chris Packham shares those predictions with members of the public.
Questions, discussion and refreshments to follow the screenings – at 4pm and repeated at 7:45pm. There is also an a screening on Fri 4th Sept at St Francis Church, Bournville.
