Principal Officer Appointed

News from the CEQ office: we have found our principal officer.

Sarah Barker will be taking up the appointment on 27th June and during her induction will be getting to know Friends in local meetings, committee members, trustees and staff while finding out about our area meeting’s witness and work. This will take time and as it is a new post we will all be learning as we get to know each other. Sarah will be taking the lead on much of the trustees’ responsibilities and ensuring the charity is well managed.

Message from Sarah:

Hello Central England Friends

I am so looking forward to joining you as Principal Officer in June and thank you for the opportunity.

I thought you might like to know a little bit about me?  I was born and raised in a Methodist family in East Yorkshire (you will soon notice the northern twang!).

Having attended University in Birmingham, I have spent most of my adult life in the Midlands and live in Sutton Coldfield with my wife and 7 year old son. I have worked in the public sector for over 20 years in health and social care and hope to bring a range of skills and experience to this new post.

I have kindly been invited to join you for the special area meeting on 21st May and look forward to meeting friends and hearing about your plans for the future.

Kind Regards

Sarah
