Safeguarding Training for Quaker Role-Holders

Safeguarding Training should be undertaken every 3 years, by Quakers in the following roles:

  • wardens / caretakers / MH managers;
  • Elders;
  • Pastoral Friends;
  • volunteers working with children and young people (e.g. convenor and members of children’s committee, Friends who help with or organise Children’s meeting);
  • those working with adults at risk.

Basic training will be facilitated by the Safeguarding Team. The session will cover: Types of abuse, how to respond, scenarios you may come across, safeguarding quiz and an opportunity for questions and discussion.

Please note that the previous briefing session on the roll out of the new CEQ safeguarding policy and procedure does not count as safeguarding training for this purpose. If you have not undertaken training in the last 3 years please book onto one of the following dates.

Sessions will be held at Priory Rooms Bull Street on:

Thursday 11th May 5pm Registration (sandwiches provided) for a 5:30pm start

or

Saturday 20th May 09:30 Registration (pastries provided) for a 10am start

The sessions are expected to last approximately 2.5 – 3 hours.

An alternative session will be held on zoom on Monday 26th June at 6pm. The zoom link will be sent out nearer the time.

Please email admin@ceaqm.org.uk with the date you would like to attend, any dietary or access requirements and the role you undertake for your LM.
