The Birmingham Forum for Spiritual Directors and Companions is running a year-long ecumenical training programme for those interested in Spiritual Accompaniment (sometimes called Spiritual Direction or Companionship).
The course is open to Christians of any denomination, and Quakers have taken part in previous years. You can read about a Quaker perspective on being a Spiritual Director from Eleanor Jackson, one of the course tutors.
Starting in September 2020 and running over 14 sessions plus a retreat day until July 2021, the course costs £470 in total. Although the initial deadline for applications was 1st May, there are still places available, and they are accepting expressions of interest.
