The Association of Talking Friends (ATF) is looking for new readers to record The Friend: individuals, or pairs, or small groups. It’s a very rewarding and satisfying task – you’ll get a warm glow of happiness when you successfully record and transfer the files!
The ATF provides the necessary software and microphone; you need a device with Windows OS. There is a reading rota and your turn comes around about every 6 – 8 weeks, depending on how many reading teams we have.
Recording an issue of The Friend takes between 2 and 4 hours – it’s quicker as an individual, but much more satisfying (for some of us at least!) as a team.
We will help and support with the tech set up, and how to use it – the software is a very user-friendly little programme.
Questions and enquiries welcome – contact Cathy Khurana or Nick Tulley (especially for tech questions). Email email@example.com phone numbers for Cathy & Nick are in the Membership Directory.
