A message from ecobirmingham (formerly Northfield Ecocentre) about a photography project for young people:
Green Lens is a project that invites young people across Birmingham to voice the green issues that matter to them, locally or globally, through the medium of photography and film.
Collected through an open, city-wide submission process this Summer, the exhibition (at the Midlands Arts Centre until the Sunday 28 October) shows the work of 8 artists. The exhibition highlights the issues that concern them most, the environmental changes they are witnessing on their own doorsteps and those that affect people and wildlife internationally.
Green Lens is a project between ecobirmingham and Ampersand Projects. A new charity, ecobirmingham wants to help create a more sustainable city. Under the banner of Northfield Ecocentre our work was mainly focused in the South of Birmingham. We are now expanding across the city. Still very committed to Quaker values, we want to continue to make you proud as we grow as part of your extended family.
