More details:
Area Meeting Young People and Children’s Committee (AMCYPC) for Quakers run activities for 7 – 14 year olds called LINK Days. We are hosting this Activity Day in partnership with Small Footsteps to reach out and include an inter-faith dimension to the day as well as include an environmental and peace focus for the activities during the day.
We are excited to be including input from Richard Tuckett, University of Birmingham to gather some facts presented in a digestible way about the conditions of climate change today. We also have some workshop activity in the morning from Small Footeps to help us understand how we use or waste household materials. We will then build a sculpture of these materials as a visual aid for the day. Lynn and Dave (Journeymen Theatre) will present an abridged version of Over the Top adapted to this age range in the afternoon.
