at Kings Heath Quaker Meeting House, BirminghamA demonstration led by Dr Vidhu Major, as part of Quaker Week.
In India, this prayer/fire ritual (also known as agnihotra or homa) has, for millenia, been a duty for people to practise daily at home. So, come and view a demonstration and learn the wonderful health, spiritual, social and environmental benefits of
practising devayajna as well as the scientific basis behind it.
For example, all major milestones of life are celebrated by doing homa (such as birth, marriage and graduation). Also, the procedure of cremation of a dead body in India has historically been based on the principles that underpin the ancient Vedic (‘Hindu’) practice of Agnihotra.
All welcome.
