Quakers talking Climate on Unity FM

16/07/2021, 5:00 pm

at Unity FM ,

Chris Martin, co-clerk of CEQ Climate Emergency Action will be appearing on local community radio Unity FM, talking about Quaker and interfaith climate emergency work.

You can listen online, via the Unity FM Android app, or on analogue radio in Birmingham at 93.4FM.

Chris says:

“Following an introduction by Toqueer (the community campaigner and activist that Harriet and I are supporting) I met Unity FM station manager, Nassar Mahmoud.  After talking about Footsteps’ interfaith environmental activities (in which Quakers are represented), Nassar was very keen to fill a gap in the Unity FM schedule on Friday with 20 minute programme featuring Footsteps, wider environmental issues and my position as a Quaker.  Nassar was very well informed on the role Quaker businesses played in the Birmingham’s development.  Personally, I am not keen on being on radio shows, but it was too good an opportunity to miss.”
