at Roxel, nr KidderminsterQuakers are joining with other Christians for a prayer vigil for peace at Roxel, organised by Midlands Christian Action.
People from different denominations will take turns to lead prayers for peace. There will be a period of silent worship led by Quakers.
Who are ‘Roxel’?
- Roxel manufacture engines for Stormshadow and Brimstone missiles.
- Since 2013, 100 Stormshadow and 1000 Brimstone missiles have been sold to Saudi Arabia, at an estimated value of £180million.
- These missiles have been used by the Saudi Air Force in Yemen. We believe they will continue to be used in this way in future.
- Since March 2013, the Saudi Air force have repeatedly bombed civilians in Yemen.
Who are MiChA?
Midlands Christian Action is a group of people who, guided and inspired by our faith in Jesus Christ, aspire to work for peace and justice for the whole of humanity and the whole of creation.
