Lock Down (Journeymen Theatre)

26/02/2020, 7:30 pm

at Stourbridge Quaker Meeting House, Stourbridge

Ron is an elderly lifer and Kathy is new to prison chaplaincy.  It’s a strange bond they develop but important to both of them. Through the prism of life inside, Kathy is forced to go on a journey of discovery and Ron is her guide.

Lock Down explores the hidden plight of the elderly and infirm inside UK’s jails and asks some big questions about how the system is coping with this ever increasing problem. As Ron is fond of saying ‘There is no system. That is the system.’

Appropriate for age 17+

The performance lasts approximately 70 minutes with discussion.

This event is free, there will be a collection for NACRO (social justice charity).

If coming by car please do not park near to the entrance gate, as we need to keep the end of the street clear for our neighbours.

‘Lock Down’ has been commisioned by Positive Justice Gloucestershire.
