Free Open University Peace Education Course

This is a free 12 hour self-study course, Principles and Practices of Peace Education exploring how peace can be fostered in classrooms. It was produced in collaboration with Quakers in Britain.

The course is hosted on the OUs learning platform OpenLearn, and the content is provided through videos and interactive activities.

Principles and practices of peace education explores how peace might be built in everyday classroom practice. It can be used as individual study or as a basis for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) with a larger group. It introduces layers of peace education for children and young people, including inner-peace and wellbeing; interpersonal peace through positive relationships and constructive approaches to conflict; and critical thinking about the world beyond the classroom.
