Fox Fell 400 at Swarthmoor Hall

15/07/2024 - 20/07/2024, 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
at Swarthmoor Hall, Ulverston

A week-long celebration to mark the 400th anniversary of George Fox’s birth.

Swarthmoor Hall, the cradle of Quakerism, has been going through exciting renovations and re-interpretation and this will be the first chance to see the Hall, gardens, and the rest of the site after the completion of some of this work. It is a unique opportunity for Quakers from around Britain to come together in this special place where many early Quakers, including George Fox and Margaret Fell, met, worshipped, and built the foundations of the Religious Society of Friends.

You are especially welcome on Monday 15 July for our Quaker Communities Day. If you can’t make that please come and celebrate later in the week! Swarthmoor Hall will be open to all Tuesday 16 – Saturday 20 July.
