The national Quaker Outreach Network meets every month on Zoom to bring together everyone interested in outreach. Led by Naomi Major, Witness & Collaboration staff member at Friends House, these sessions are a chance to share insights and experiences and to learn more about effective outreach together.
In October, the network will be looking at how we can organise outreach activities across our Area and Local Meetings, aiming to create a joyful and collaborative approach, whether working as part of outreach committees or more informally. You can now register for the sessions on Mon 9 Oct, 12:30pm or Mon 16 Oct, 7.30pm.
In November the dates will be Mon 13 Nov from 12.30pm and Mon 20 Nov from 7.30pm. You can’t register for these until the October sessions have happened, as it’s the same link each month but has to be updated each time.
You can find more information and support on Outreach on the Quakers in Britain website: Outreach and Quaker Week
One resource that Naomi has recently highlighted is an outreach concert based upon Advices and Queries (called Nudges & Winks). Mark Waistell, a Quaker (Elder of Devon AM) and a singer-songwriter has developed the concert, which he has been invited to perform at several Quaker Meetings around the country. If you might be interested in Mark coming to perform at your Meeting, please see this information sheet for more details.
