There is now an easier way to submit news & events for the Central England Quakers website and newsfeed, that does not require you to log in.
Visit centralenglandquakers.org.uk/submit or use the link in the footer of the website (under ‘For Quakers’).
From there, please choose whether you want to submit an ‘event’ or a ‘news item’, and complete the form with details of your news or event.
We hope that some Friends with computer skills will be able to use these forms without any training, but if you encounter any problems please get in touch at website@centralenglandquakers.org.uk and we can arrange a session to talk you through it over the phone, via Skype or in person.
What’s the difference between an ‘event’ and a ‘news item’?
An ‘event’ is something happening in the future – at a specific time and location – that you would like to invite Quakers or the wider public to.
A ‘news item’ is any other news that you would like to share with Quakers and the wider public. News could be a report from an event that has already happened, an initiative you would like Quaker meetings to get involved with, or a personal reflection on an aspect of Quakerism. It could also be practical news such as a job vacancy or temporary closure of your meeting house.
Please note that this service is for Quaker meetings and committees of Central England Area Meeting. If you are not a member or attender of Central England, please contact website@centralenglandquakers.org.uk about submitting items to the newsfeed. All events and news items submitted will be checked by our Website Administrator before being published.
