Quaker Meetings are considering how and when to reopen for meeting for worship, in accordance with government guidance and advice from CEQ trustees and Britain Yearly Meeting. Some Quaker Meetings are reopening now or in the near future with measures in place, others may remain closed for some time. Please check directly with Meetings about when and how they plan to open, before travelling.
Some Quaker Meetings may continue to hold remote meeting for worship, please check with individual Meetings for details. Woodbrooke are offering online meeting for worship, which anyone is welcome to join.
Join us for Meeting for Worship:
Penn Meeting for Worship takes place in the common room of the Woodlands Quaker Home. Our 19th century buildings sit in spacious, leafy gardens. There is a Quaker Discussion Group every fortnight on Wednesdays, starting with tea/coffee at 2.45 pm, followed by a facilitator-led discussion at 3pm until 4.15pm.
The common room (where meeting is held) is fully accessible.
Bus: Sunday bus service, No. 256, at half-hourly intervals from 9.30 am
Weekdays, Nos. 256, 260 and 261. Alight at Rose & Crown opposite Woodlands entrance.
Road: From Stourbridge and Kidderminster, The Woodlands is on the A449 into the city, on an inbound section of dual carriageway by the traffic lights, opposite the Rose & Crown.
From Wolverhampton City Centre, follow ring road and follow signs to Kidderminster A449. Continue until it becomes dual carriageway. Do a U-turn right after the traffic lights by The Rose and Crown. The Woodlands is set back from the road down a private drive. Go down this drive past the sheltered housing complex to the rear car park. Meeting takes place in the main house.
There is ample car parking on site.
