John's gospel: what is its message?

at Stourbridge Quaker Meeting House, StourbridgeStourbridge Elders have arranged two study groups on The Gospel According to John, on Sundays 5th November and 3rd December, led by John Lampen.
We hope these will prove interesting to many Friends, including those who do not have a strong interest in the Bible.
The first session asked what kind of book this gospel is. This second session will look at its message: why is it so loved? Why is it sometimes called “the Quakers’ gospel”? How relevant is it to our beliefs and witness today?
John recommends that those who attend should read the gospel between the two sessions.
