Vacancy: WorkCare West Midlands – Interim Lead Officer

WorkCare West Midlands (WWM) is an are an ecumenical workplace chaplaincy charity – Central England Quakers have been engaging with and supporting this chaplaincy work via the two organisations that have recently merged to form WWM: Workcare Coventry & Warwickshire and Churches & Industry Group, Birmingham & Solihull (CIGB).

WWM is at an exciting time and is looking for the right person to lead us through an important 12-month period. We are an ecumenical workplace chaplaincy charity committed to providing leadership for churches’ engagement within the economic life of Warwickshire and the West Midlands. The Interim Lead Officer will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the work of WWM, enhancing its capacity, sustainability, and reputation. This role encompasses establishing strong relationships with sponsors and supporters, nurturing existing chaplaincies, fostering organizational development, and facilitating the recruitment and training of workplace chaplains.

Outline of Terms: The initial appointment contract will be for one year with an expected commitment of 80 hours per month, which can be delivered flexibly, subject to negotiation. The role can be structured either as an ‘on payroll’ appointment or as a consultancy basis, to be discussed with the successful candidate. Application deadline 24th May 2024.
