Request for Accommodation

Stourbridge Quakers involved with Jai Jagat 2020 have a request for help with accommodation on the August Bank Holiday weekend:

Can anyone offer B&B on Thursday/Friday/Saturday 22nd/23rd/ 24th August for up 12 single male/female delegates from different parts of Europe as part of the co-ordination group for Jai Jagat 2020?

The individuals will be attending meetings at the Priory Rooms on Friday and Saturday, from 09:00 through until 18:00, so assistance for delegates to find the nearest public transport into central Birmingham would be helpful. Evening meals will not be required.

Jai Jagat (trans. Long Live the World) 2020 is a year-long peace march from Delhi to Geneva, starting on 2nd October, Gandhi’s 150th Anniversary. To find out more go to www.jaijagat2020.org and Facebook Jai Jagat 2020 UK.

Jai Jagat 2020 Midlands UK has been adopted by Stourbridge Meeting as a short term concern and is led by Quakers. Quakers have a long association with Ekta Parishad (trans. One Forum/Voice), out of which Jai Jagat 2020 has emerged along with the Global March of Peace.
